Use these USB C power delivery decoy modules from PMD Way to force USB C power delivery-type power supplies to output more than 5V DC for your own use.
They contain a microcontroller which can be instructed by the single button to emulate a device which requires the higher voltage, and you can draw the power from the connections on the module.

Press and hold button the button while turning on the PD power source connected via USB socket, wait for LED to flash then release button. Then quickly press button to scroll through required output - onboard LED color shows power output:
- Red: 5V
- Yellow: 8-10V
- Green: 11-13V
- Cyan: 14-16V
- Blue: 18-20V
- Purple: Max Voltage
- White: Auto Voltage
To turn off module and save output type, hold down button for three seconds.
