A Weird Yet Wonderful Arduino Clock

A Weird Yet Wonderful Arduino Clock

from hackster.io

If you need a custom clock and want a project that will help you learn a lot about programming, electronics, and even geometry, be sure to check out this “strange-looking” device shown in the video below.

The build takes the form of a wheel with times written on it which is rotated using an Arduino and a stepper motor.

The idea behind the clock is a circle with a circumfrence of 72cm that ticks at 1cm every 10 minutes, which means every 72 ticks will equal 12 hours making it a 12-hour clock.

The video provides a very clear summary of what you need to do to craft one of these, and you can find even more information on the project’s page here.

As the creator of this clock says, it’s “quite a fun project,” and something that could be built upon for even cooler DIY gadgets!
