Uncover All Bands and Names with the 5G Wi-Fi Scanner
from hackster.io
There are plenty of apps that can uncover 5G Wi-Fi signals and provide names of those using them, but very little else in terms of information. Electrical engineer Simon Xi has created a tiny handheld device that can garner more information from those signals, including those in the 2.5 and 5GHz range.
The aptly named 5G Wi-Fi Scanner was designed using the Amoeba A1 Pico module, which packs an RTL8720DM SoC with integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0. It also features a 2.2" TFT LCD display that shows all the pertinent information from the acquired signals in its vicinity.
