SHT-10 Soil Temperature and Moisture Sensor
If you need a long-term and reliable soil moisture sensor, order these SHT-10 Soil Temperature and Moisture Sensors from PMD Way.
Each unit has an accurate SHT-10 temperature and humidity sensor enclosed inside a sinter metal mesh encasing. This allows you to bury it in the soil without fear of damaging the sensor (however it is not totally waterproof, just IP65 - so no sticking it in a body of water).
You can also use the sensor for general outdoor use. The sensor is terminated with a 1.5m lead with four connectors:
- Red - Vcc (3.3~5V DC)
- Black or Green - GND
- Yellow - clock
- Blue - data
The SHT-10 uses the I2C data bus and Arduino users can harness this library.
