This shield has forty addressable RGB LEDs all lined up, ready for your imagination - and is completely assembled - ready to drop into your Arduino or compatible board.

You can use both 3.3V and 5V Arduino or compatible boards. Like all RGB LED products, you need to consider the power draw. If you use all 40 LEDs at maximum brightness displaying white - the current draw will be 2A, so you will need to wire in an external 5V power supply. 

A terminal block is fitted to the shield for connection of external power:

Arduino board not included.

Getting Started:

You will need to download and install the FastLED library for Arduino. Simply consider each shield to be a continuous strip of 40 LEDs.
