Build the BeatFlower - an interactive RGB LED Light
It's always interesting to see what imagination and RGB LEDs can result in, and this example by Instructables member fairlight1337 with their interactive lighting display.
The hardware is quite simple, consisting of five "NeoPixel" rings driven by a compact ATtiny development board. It could be used to display data such as time, project status, anything really - or just a colorful work of art.
For a complete explanation on how to do this yourself, visit the project's Instructable page.
And if you're interested in doing this yourself, PMD Way can help you with the parts, such as:
- NeoPixel-style LED rings
- ATtiny85 controller boards
- and more...
