If you need to experiement with the 74HC4051, PMD Way has you covered with this neat breakout board.
The 74HC4051 is a single-pole, eight throw analog switching IC ideal for mulitplexer/demultiplexer applications.
That is - you can have one signal go in, and direct it to one of eight outputs. Or choose to have one of eight inputs pass through the IC at a single time.
Your circuit selects the required channel by setting a combination of three pins HIGH or LOW (see table 7, page 35 of the datasheet linked below).
Inline header pins are included but not soldered to the board. We also offer the classic 4051 CMOS IC in DIP format.
