I2S Stereo Decoder - UDA1334A Breakout
Now available from PMD Way is this useful UDA1334A I2S Stereo DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) amplifier breakout board - ideal for any development board with an I2S digital audio output.
This board operates on both 3.3 and 5V DC, and you can set it up to process different formats using hardware pin connections.
The DAC processes data in real time, which gives you a clear analog stereo audio output via the 3.5mm stereo socket.
You can also use this with host boards that don't have an MCLK in their I2S - such as Raspberry Pi, as the UDA1334A has an inbuilt PLL to generate the appropriate clock signal.
Input types include default I2S, 16-, 20- or 24-bit left justified data. Board can be set to accept an input system/master clock - however it is set by default to generate it autonomously. Thus you just need to connect Data In, Word Select (Left/Right Clock) and Bit Clock lines. There are also a mute pin and a selectable de-emphasis filter.
Inline header pins are included but not soldered to the board.
