Convert a Polaroid SX-70 into a digital camera

Convert a Polaroid SX-70 into a digital camera

You can turn old things that have passed their end-of-life into new and useful things, and one awesome example of this is by Joshua Gross who took an old Polaroid SX-70 instant camera - and over time, turned it into a digital camera.

As you know a Raspberry Pi and camera module can be used to create an 8MP digital camera, and Joshua has carefully carved out the space inside the Polaroid body to fit all the required parts, plus a LiPo battery to give the camera autonomy.

This is truly an inspiration ... imagine what you could do with old alarm clocks, radios, and other devices from the 20th century. However, I digress. Please visit Joshua's fantastic build blog for all the details.

If you're interested in making your own version, PMD Way offers Raspberry Pi products, LiPo power HATs, displays and more to get you started.
