Experimenting with large LED matrix displays and Arduino
LED matrix boards are not just for advertising and scrolling text - they can also be used for all sorts of fun an interesting applications.
One example of this is by Doug Domke who has harnessed four 64x32 LED displays to create an awesome board which is powered by an Arduino Mega.
In the following example, the Arduino creates a maze with one solution, then solves it with progress on the LED display:
Although this may seem somewhat complex, you can recreate this yourself with some time and following Doug's interesting tutorial page at the Arduino tutorial hub.
And if you're interested in making your own LED display - PMD Way has you covered with Arduino Mega boards, 64x32 color LED displays, switchmode 5V power supplies and more.
