Build an easy to use Internet Radio with Raspberry Pi
A few days ago we wrote about a very useful Internet radio, that has many features and controls. However you can also create an Internet radio that's meant for simple, easy listening without any fuss.
This has been demonstrated by Instructables member onehandclappin whose radio has a minimum of buttons, along with a nice wooden enclosure. The radio is configured in a way that the color buttons each match a pre-set internet radio station.
This version is also using a Raspberry Pi Zero W as the heart of the radio, along with an external DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) for quality audio output.
For details on this neat Internet radio, please visit the project page.
And if you're interested in doing this yourself, PMD Way has a you covered with a wide range of parts, such as:
- Raspberry Pi Zero W Kits
- Larger tactile buttons with colored tops
- PCM5102 modules
- amplifier boards
- speakers
- prototyping PCBs
- and much more...
