Although many people enjoy using LCDs for their project, sometimes you want a simple and clear LED display - and this can be offered by a TM1638 LED display module. They contain eight digits, eight bicolor LEDs and eight buttons, with a minimum of wiring
John Boxall from the tronixstuff website shows us how to use these displays with ease using the Arduino platform, and you'll be up and running in no time at all. They can even be daisy-chained for larger displays. An excellent demonstration is shown in the video below:
