24x8 Emo-Style LED Matrix Display
Have fun and enjoy coding for visual displays with this avant-garde LED display unit from PMD Way.
It has 24 columns of eight white LEDs, which as you can see from the images is ideal for creating facial "eyes" animation but also more serious uses such as notifications, graphics and more.
You can control the display using several methods including python via a Raspberry Pi, Arduino using the IDE and included library, or an online web browser graphical interface.
The display is fully assembled and doesn't required any soldering. All you need to do is screw it together with the included hardware which only takes a moment or two.
The display is controlled via an SPI bus interface which leaves it usable with a wide variety of microcontrollers and single-board computers. Please note this is a 5V board however is compatible with 3.3V signals. The display measures 104 x 40 x 17mm (width - height - thickness).
