Access two RS485 data buses and the automotive CAN-BUS using Raspberry Pi with this neat RS485 and CAN-BUS HAT from PMD Way.
The HAT offers power supply, ESD and signal isolation for the CAN-BUS and both RS485 data buses, keeping your Pi same from strange currents and bursts.
CAN-BUS is provided over the SPI bus using the MCP2515 transceiver and ADUM1201BRZ digital isolation IC; RS485 is through two pairs of SC16IS1752 and ADM2483.
Mounting hardware as shown in the images is included, and no soldering is required. Example code is provided in python for RS485 and CAN-BUS use.
