Light Up Your Next Project with the Four 10mm LED Breakout Board
Need a clear way to show what your electronics project is doing? The Four 10mm LED Breakout Board from PMD Way brings red, yellow, blue and green LEDs together on one compact board, ready for your next prototype, classroom demonstration or status display.
Each of the four 10mm LEDs gives you a distinct visual signal. Use them to show operating modes, track a sequence or indicate when a process needs attention. For an educational traffic light project, the red, yellow and green LEDs cover the familiar signals, while the blue LED can represent an additional state.
Simple Control, Less Assembly
The board operates from DC 3.3–5V and uses active-low inputs. Connect VCC to the positive supply and D1–D4 to suitable controller I/O pins, then drive an input low to illuminate its corresponding LED.
Built-in current-limiting resistors save you from adding separate LED resistors to your prototype. It’s a convenient way to add visual feedback to microcontroller and ARM-based projects while keeping assembly straightforward.
Easy to Fit into Your Build
Measuring 19 × 65mm, the board provides four large indicators in a narrow footprint. Its 1.6mm double-layer PCB includes four 3mm mounting holes, making it easy to secure inside an enclosure or onto a demonstration panel.
A few ideas to get you started:
-
Teach digital outputs: Introduce LED control, timing and active-low logic.
-
Build a traffic light simulation: Program light sequences and experiment with timing.
-
Display project status: Assign colours to idle, running, complete or attention states.
-
Create a visual sequence: Use the four LEDs for countdowns, simple games or progress indicators.
