Build a bench power supply with an old PC PSU
Next time you see an old computer on the kerb for waste collection, or see one in the ewaste pile... grab it, and check out the power supply. If it's working you then have the base for a useful and inexpensive benchtop power supply.
This has been demonstrated by Instructables user Mukesh Sankhla whose efforts have resulted with a professional-looking supply which is also useful for electronics work.
With the use of a 3D printed enclosure and front panel, all the DC voltage outputs are easily accessible and the addition of an inexpensive digital voltmeter and ammeter rounds out the usefulness nicely.
