theMIDInator - the Arduino powered MIDI controller
Building a MIDI controller with Arduino isn't new, however we love this version by Switch and Lever.
Their controller used a numeric pad for note input, that doubles as a drum pad, plus knobs and a switches to control various effects. And the whole lot is enclosed in a lovely wooden enclosure:
