Now available from PMD Way are these useful four channel DIN mount embedded dimmer modules.
This module is designed to control the alternating current voltage, which can transfer current up to 600V AC 24A. In most cases, Dimmer is used to adjust of AC power for lamps or heating elements, it can also be used in fans, pumps, air cleaners, etc.
Input is via 3.3 or 5V DC PWM or HIGH/LOW logic. Module arrives fully assembled and includes heatsink and DIN rail mount as shown.
Use the options menu to select your low voltage control interface - 2.54mm inline header pins, JST-XH socket or screw terminal blocks.
Great for making your own smart homes, or any situation where you need to control AC lighting. The dimmer works most effectively with filament lamps. It’s less stable with low brightness LED lamps, but with moderate and high brightness it will perform a solid job. Note that luminescent lamps (gas discharge lamps) do not support dimming
Power part of dimmer is isolated from the control part, to exclude the possibility of high current disruption to a microcontroller.
