RS232 Shield for Arduino
Easily convert UART serial data on your Arduino to and from RS232 with this neat RS232 Shield for Arduino from PMD Way.
The shield is assembled and ready for use. You can attach the RS232 cable to the DE9 male connector, or use the four inline pin headers to attached your RX/TX/GND/5V wires.
The switch on the shield diverts the Arduino serial to either the RS232 shield or serial back to the PCB via USB. Set the switch to OFF when uploading sketches, or using the serial monitor. Set the switch to ON when needing Arduino to RS232 connection.
