Sharp GP2Y0E03 Infra Red Distance Sensor (4~50cm)

This unit can detect distances between 4 and 50cm in length using it's infra-red beam system.

These types of sensors offer a very focus, straight-beam distance measuring over an angle range of -1~0~1 degrees. (See datasheet below for more information).

Unlike other sensors, the Sharp GP2Y0E03 uses the I2C bus AND an analog output, offering alternative and simpler interface options than other sensors.

With regards to the I2C bus, the sensor is both 3.3V and 5V compatible.

PMD Way also includes a short (around 10cm) matching JST interface cable as shown in the image. Board with sensor is fully-assembled.
