Now available from PMD Way is this interesting and useful MHZ19 Carbon Dioxide CO2 Sensor Module. The MHZ19 is a general-purpose smart small-scale sensor that uses non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) principles to detect the presence of CO2 in the air, with good selectivity and anaerobic gas dependence.

You project will be rewarded with a long life and accuracy, thanks to the built-in temperature compensation and solid construction. The sensor combines mature infrared absorption gas detection technology with precise optical path design and sophisticated circuitry.

Interfacing with your development board is easy thanks to the three interface types - UAR serial output, analog output and PWM outputs. I/O is both 3.3V and 5V tolerant so ideal for Arduino and Raspberry Pi users as well.

Includes JST-PH 2.0 cable as shown, or you can solder to PCB pads on side of sensor board.
