A neat and simple microphone breakout board from PMD Way for sound and audio experiments. Use it to detect sounds of a certain, adjustable level and receive a digital signal when the noise level exceeds the preset limit. Free delivery, worldwide.
If you are looking to capture audio for processing and need a line-level output, consider the MAX4466 breakout board.
Instructions:
- Analogue mode:
- Connect 5V to the pin labelled "+"
- Connect GND to the pin labelled "G"
- connect your microcontroller's analogue input to the pin labelled "AO"
- Voltage returned from AO pin is proportional to sound level
- Digital Mode:
- Connect 5V to the pin labelled "+"
- Connect GND to the pin labelled "G"
- Connect your microcontroller's digital input to the pin labelled "DO"
- When ambient sound reaches a certain level, the DO will go HIGH (5V). You can adjust the threshold level with the blue potentiometer.
