If you need a quick and easy way to have an eight digit LED numerical display, then this 8 Digit 7 Segment Numerical Display with MAX7219 from PMD Way is the answer. 

This convenient module has eight, seven-segment numerical red 0.56" LED digits controlled by the popular MAX7219 controller IC - so you can use this with pretty much any platform that has an SPI bus including Arduino, AVR, PIC, Rasberry Pi and so on.

Inline headers as shown in the photos are included, but not soldered to the boards.
