Eight Channel Amplified MP3 Voice Playback Module
Easily add audio to kiosks, alarms and more with the Eight Channel Amplified MP3 Voice Playback Module from PMD Way.
This clever MP3 decoder board is designed to play one of eight audio files at the press of a button, or when triggered by another device. This is ideal for information kiosks, museum displays, interactive toys and more.
Or you could use this for more serious applications, such as amplified notifications for public areas, alarm systems, or any situation that requires a repetitive audio message or tune.
Output is to a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack for connection to other systems and amplifiers - or directly connect a speaker of 10W (4/8 Ohm load) a quick setup.
The audio board is powered via a 12V DC 1A power supply or can be wired into a 220 V AC power supply. Use the options menu to select your required supply.

As you can see from the image above, each of the eight channels are triggered by closing the circuit between the Vcc pin and one of the eight channel pins. All wiring is connected via screw terminal blocks and no soldering is required.
A short "press" plays the audio file once, and a long "press" (closed for more than 1 second) causes that channel's audio file to be repeated until the circuit is closed again.
The audio files need to be ordered in a certain way on the microSD card for successful playback. First, create a folder named "01", and insert the eight audio files into this folder. Each MP3 audio file must begin with the matching number for it's audio channel... so 001.mp3, 002.mp3 through to 0008.mp3.
Board measures 8.2 x 6.5 x 2.5 cm (L x W x H).
