If you need a longer distance between your Raspberry Pi and its camera, or a more robust connection - then these HDMI Cable Adaptor for Raspberry Pi Camera boards from PMD Way solve the problem.
They include a short cable that is connected to the Raspberry Pi's camera FPC connector socket, and has a HDMI socket on the board. You then run a HDMI cable to another one of these adaptors, then at that point connect your Raspberry Pi camera via it's FPC cable to the second board.
You will need two of these and a HDMI cable for success! Each board includes a short FPC cable for travel between the board and the Pi or the Pi camera.
