TTP223 Latching/Momentary Single Channel Touch Sensor - Five Pack
Add a nice capacitive-sensing button to your project with these Latching/Momentary Single Channel Touch Sensors from PMD Way.
They're easy to use, simply connect between 2.5 and 5.5V DC to the Vcc/GND pins, and the output pin to a transistor base or microcontroller input, etc.
The onboard LED indicate button status so you can easily tell the status, or just have fun blinking the LED.
This board is also useful if you're interested in making your own touch-device as you can prototype with the TTP223B IC with this unit then build the IC into your own PCB.
These boards are sold in packs of five. Free delivery, worldwide.
Using your sensor:
PCB holes are configured for standard 0.1"/2.54mm pin spacing.
Wiring:
- Vcc - connect to power supply of between 2.5 and 5.5V DC
- GND - connect to GND
- I/O - this is the output from the switch circuit, which is conned to your microcontroller/dev board's input
Switching type:
Note that there are two pairs of pads on the PCB, labeled A and B. If you short those pads in various combinations, you can change the operation of the switch.
Switch Operation | A | B |
Momentary, touch HIGH | blank | blank |
Monentary, touch LOW | short | blank |
Latching, touch HIGH | blank | short |
Latching, touch LOW | short | short |
