W5100 Ethernet Shield for Arduino Nano
Easily add networking to you Arduino Nano or compatible with this W5100 Ethernet Shield for Arduino Nano from PMD Way.
The shield is fully assembled including header pins and socket, and based on the popular Wiznet W5100 Ethernet chip which provides a network (IP) stack capable of both TCP and UDP.
This Ethernet shield supports up to four simultaneous socket connections. Use the Ethernet library to write sketches which connect to the internet using the add-on module.
Futhermore, the onboard (it's on the bottom of the PCB) micro SD card slot can be used to store files for serving over a network. It is compatible with the Ethernet library and uses the sdfatlib by Bill Greiman.
There's an onboard reset controller, which resets the network hardware upon power-up.
Communication via the Ethernet shield, microSD card socket and Nano is via the SPI bus - just like the standard Arduino Ethernet shield. Remember that only one can be active at a time, and if you're not using one or the other in your sketch - set the corresponding D4 or D10 to an output and HIGH.
